Meeting with a private chef for a pleasant stroll in the well-known and always crowded two-story indoor San Lorenzo food market. XIX century building was designed by Giuseppe Mengoni, the architect who projected the famous Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery in Milan. Among the glass ceilings and the cast – iron details, you will get some ingredients, according to the season and your wishes. After a few steps, you will reach a familiar venue for your private cooking lesson.
It will start by learning how to make some typical Italian starter, followed by some hand-made fresh pasta (tagliatelle, tortelli or gnocchi) as well as a meat/tomato sauce, then a main course and at the end a dessert. Each dish will be matched with wine.
During your cooking class, you will also learn interesting details about Florence and Italian culinary traditions and dishes. After that lunch, you will be able to go back home and repeat those recipes by yourselves!
